Chital
(Axis Deer)

The chita, or axis deer, is the largest species of wild deer in India. The head of the chital is short, its eyes large, and its tail medium to long (8 to 12 inches).  The chital's antlers are unique, with each having three graceful branches.  Unlike most deer that have a seasonal antler cycle, the chital grows and sheds antlers throughout the year.
